Here is a personalised video that goes through the 5 most common things that we do daily, and need to avoid to get our hair long and healthy !

If you liked this video, please share a comment ! Or if you have any of your own tips, we'd love to hear from you :)

TIP 1: Avoid brushing your hair when it's wet.

A little known fact; your hair is weakest when it's wet. Brushing your hair when it's vulnerable will increase the likeliness of breakage. Make sure you dry your hair first by using a dryer and running your hands through. Then finish off with a brush using a wooden comb to avoid static and reduce the risk of further damage to your hair.

Recommended Product: Thick Tooth Comb (Neem Wood)

TIP 2: Avoid washing your hair daily.

If you wash your hair daily, your hair is constantly getting stripped from its' natural oils. You need to condition your hair to be washed every 2-3 days at least and this will regulate your natural scalp oils and hair oils (sebum).

TIP 3: Avoid regular tight hair styles.

Wearing your hair in a tight ponytail daily, can prompt a receding hairline and hair loss. We don't want that ! Try to limit the times you wear your hair in tight hairstyles, and explore some new options. Perhaps some loose braids?

TIP 4: Avoid brushing your hair from the roots.

We often are in a hurry and have a lot of things on our mind when we make the mistake of brushing our hair from our roots. By starting the brush from the roots before ends, we are putting more strain on our roots when we hit each knot. Always start brushing from the ends of your hair, and work your way up.

Recommended Product: Tangle Tamer

TIP 5: Avoid using heat tools without protection products.

We've all done this before, or are still in the habit of doing it. Our hair is very delicate and needs to be treated with care and respect. Before using any heat tools on our hair such as; hair straightener, blow dryer, or curler, we need to protect it with a heat spray. Then after styling it, it's always best to seal your hair with a finishing serum or finishing spray. This just protects your hair and seals the cuticles for the day.
