SAVE YOUR HAIR, MAKE IT GROW !
Struggling with saving your hair ? Can't seem to make it grow ? Well honey we've all been there and done that ! Whether you're dealing with brittle ends, dull colour, thinning volume or just stubborn locks, we've got your back :)
Here are some golden rules that are easy to do in your day-to-day life. And when we say easy, we mean easyyyy... because why do we need any extra hassle.
- Sleep with loose hair
Time for a snooze, had a long day. Let's make sure we take our hair out (brush it if you have the energy) before your pretty head hits the pillow. If you sleep with your hair tied up it can cause something called traction alopecia – hair loss brought on by regular, consistent pulling at the hair roots. So best to give it a shake out, and dream of luscious long locks.
- Wear a hat
If you can't yet part with your straightener or curling iron, baby steps.. we got you! The sun is a major major set back to happy and healthy hair. We all know that UV is damaging to your skin for long periods of time, and this applies to our mane as well. Long exposure can lead to dryness, split ends and frizz. So pop a hat on it, but make sure it's not overly tight (see step #1).
- Get a massage
We knew you'd love this blog and here's why ! Studies have shown that getting a head massage can boost circulation, which in turn makes your hair grow (YAY)! So other than leaving you completely relaxed and happy as Larry, we recommend you show your cute head off to your nearest masseuse, or start cooking a fab dinner for your better half, and ask for a sexy scalp massage in return!
- Wash smarter
Many shampoos can leave your hair feeling dry and brittle because they contain sulphates, which is the ingredient used in foaming agents that makes your shampoo bubble and lather. This is a serious no-no. Find a shampoo (while Kus Culture is creating the perfect one) that is sulphate free !
- Wash less
In continuation with the step above, wash less honey ! The more often you wash your hair, the more you are stripping it from it's natural oils. Are you reading this and thinking oh my goodness OILS ? Yes, you may have an oily scalp and think you need to wash it daily, however stop! Condition your hair to know it's not getting a wash daily, and it will love you more in return. Trust us... how many times do we need to say we got you.
