Why the Sandalwood Thin Comb is remarkable

The Kus Culture® Sandalwood Pick comb is individually cut and crafted from a solid piece of sandalwood, making it strong and durable as well as varied in colour from comb to comb. With its’ flat square type of shape, the Pick comb is perfect for combing and grooming very curly, thick, or kinky hair, as well as styling to create volume. It comes in its very own biodegradable bag, for optimum hygiene and easy travel purposes.

BENEFITS

  • Controls frizz.
  • Drastically reduces static.
  • Massages the scalp.
  • Assists in styling curly hair.

HOW TO USE

  • Can be used in Wet and Dry Hair
  • Wet hair – for sectioning and product distribution.
  • Dry hair – for sectioning and styling, especially great in lifting curls from scalp to create volume. By sectioning off your hair, glide the comb into small areas close to your scalp and gently pull outwards. This allows the hair (and curls) to open creating volume, and also lets the scalp breathe.

How do I clean my comb?

The best way to clean a wooden comb is to soak it in warm water mixed with mild soap or detergent for 2 to 3 minutes.

Gently wipe any dirt or debris from the comb, running a small piece of cloth through each tooth.

If there are stubborn residue left even after wiping, scrub the comb gently with an old toothbrush.

Do not forget to wipe the comb with a piece of cloth to completely remove/dry water.

We recommend once a fortnight to ‘seal’ your wooden comb with a dab of oil evenly distributed all over the comb.

It is important to use water sparingly during cleaning of our wooden combs to avoid wood damage.

Always wipe off water after cleaning. Be gentle and do not scrub too hard.
